This Title Sequence was made for the film "Everything Everwhere All At Once" - a film about a Chinese Immigrant who is thrust into a sci-fi adventure in which she alone can save existence by exploring other universes and connecting with the lives she could have led.

RESEARCH
Considering the absurd nature of the film, creating a title sequence that matched it proved to be a challenge. After analyzing the film, specifically the editing style, I found the recurring elements to be match-cuts, transitions and tracking shots. Another important feature, while used sparingly, is the montage, which is used to showcase the multiverse. I incorporated all of the above and the different styles of the film in my title sequence.

THE MONTAGE
To include the montage in the title sequence I decided to highlight the many circular objects that are significant in the film, along with a few extras while staying light-hearted and comedic where possible. Each character has a specific color that I felt corresponds to them (which I included in the montage) - Evelyn (Red), Waymond (Green), Diedre (Yellow), Joy (All).
These 2 elements of the film completely capture its philosophy. Not only are the visually inverse but they represent 2 completely different philosophies - the googly eye being optimism (everything matters) while the everything bagel is nihilism (nothing matters)
